After the great success Torres achieved with Vina Esmeralda, the winery now presents an unparalleled beauty: a sparkling wine, similar to the still white wine. Over the past 150 years, Torres Wine has surprised us with several new wines and techniques. The Torres family has a reputation to uphold, having been one of the largest and finest wineries in Spain for years. And let's be honest, you've probably tasted a glass of Torres wine at some point. For years, the Torres family has crafted wines with the utmost precision and the most modern techniques, preserving the uniquely pure style of their wines.

The Mediterranean Classic Sparkling

For this brand-new sparkling wine, Vina Esmeralda Sparkling, a Mediterranean Classic blend is created. The finest grapes are sought in the Catalunya wine region to create this slightly sweet sparkling wine. The old vineyards, primarily filled with Moscato grapes, are in magnificent condition. The Spanish sun is able to do its work, ripening the grapes like no other. The old vines on which the bunches grow easily absorb moisture from the rich soil structure. This is essential, as summers can get very hot. The harvest is brought in at night, protecting the bunches from damage and bruising during transport to Torres. Upon arrival, the grapes are pressed, and this Vina Esmeralda Sparkling is aged for several months in the Torres cellars to develop its delicate bubbles.

What does Vina Esmeralda Sparkling taste like?

Opening the Champagne cork, which is already a celebration, is the start of the festivities. Pouring, we see a golden yellow color with delicate bubbles rising from the bottom. Our senses are stimulated as we smell the glass. The beautiful aromas are released, giving us a sense of fresh white fruit, a touch of florals, and, of course, a swirl of honey. We take a sip, and the soft bubbles give the tongue a lovely tingle. Delicate flavors of yellow fruit, combined with a touch of green apple freshness, complete the experience. The finish is slightly sweet with plenty of yellow fruit. What a celebration this Vina Esmeralda Sparkling is!
