Tinazzi Ca' de' Rocchi Garda Bianco 2025, Italy
Tinazzi Ca' de' Rocchi Garda Bianco 2025 is a fresh white wine from the Lake Garda region, made from Garganega, Trebbiano, and Chardonnay grapes. The wine was developed as a tribute to the mild microclimate around Lake Garda, where local grapes and Chardonnay combine to provide fruit, elegance, and soft freshness. With 12.5% alcohol, maturation in steel tanks, and aromas of pineapple, flowers, and tropical fruit, this is an accessible North Italian white wine for aperitifs and meals.
Vineyards and Region
The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Garda area, on the Veneto side of Lake Garda.
• Location / Origin: Garda DOP is located around Lake Garda, where the climate is mild and fairly consistent. The tempering breeze from the lake helps keep the grapes fresh and aromatic.
• Region: The area on the Verona shore of Lake Garda has a long Tinazzi history. Bardolino, Chiaretto di Bardolino, and Garda Bianco show the lighter, fresher side of Veneto here.
• Soil: The soils around the Verona side of Lake Garda are moraine soils, formed by retreating glaciers. They contain sand, pebbles, and clay, ensuring good drainage and elegant wines.
• Grapes & Style: Garganega provides white flowers and a subtle almond note, Trebbiano brings freshness and a green tinge in color, and Chardonnay adds tropical fruit.
Vinification and Aging
Vinification is focused on freshness, clear fruit, and a soft, accessible structure.
• Grape Processing: The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. This keeps the juice clean and preserves the fresh character of the blend.
• Fermentation: The available 2025 information mentions fermentation at a controlled temperature of 14–16 °C. This cool approach keeps the fruity aromas, flowers, and tropical notes clear.
• Aging: The wine is aged in stainless steel. This keeps the style pure, fresh, and direct, without the influence of wood.
• Technical Balance: With 12.5% alcohol, 5.80 g/l acidity, and 4.5 g/l residual sugar, this Garda Bianco remains fresh, smooth, and easy to enjoy as an aperitif or with light dishes.
Grape Composition
This white Garda DOP is made from three grape varieties.
• Garganega – Garda DOP: Garganega gives the wine white flowers, soft almond notes, and an elegant, round base.
