The big brother of the Sebastiani Chardonnay California, also a successful Olle wine from the Sebastiani stable. The North Coast name refers to the region where the grapes originate. The Chardonnay grapes, a California all-rounder, are grown in areas including northern Sonoma and Monterey. Because the grapes grow further north, they receive more freshness from the ocean, among other things. This ensures that the grapes ripen more slowly and have more flavor. And you'll immediately discover this with every sip of Sebastiani North Coast Chardonnay.

Chardonnay, a success from California

Chardonnay and California have always been a golden duo. Any wine lover, anywhere in the world, will agree that the finest Chardonnay wines come from California. And that's not surprising. The climate, the soil, and the proximity of the ocean ensure optimal grape growth. Samuele Sebastiani, the winery's founder, realized this back in 1904. He planted several grape varieties in the then-unknown Sonoma County. He has been a leading winery in this wine region since its founding over a century ago. Sebastiani was also one of the few in Sonoma permitted to continue producing wine on a small scale during Prohibition.

Aroma and taste of Sebastiani Butterfield Station North Coast Chardonnay

The process of creating this successful white wine is unique. After pressing, half of the juice is fermented in oak barrels. After fermentation, the wine matures for another seven months in oak barrels, which are a mix of French, Hungarian, and American oak. This refined process gives the wine a wonderfully creamy aroma. You immediately smell a vast, expansive bouquet. You'll smell citrus, red grapefruit, but also nectarine, peach, and vanilla. You'll slowly fall in love with Sebastiani North Coast Chardonnay. Time to take a sip. Wow, wow, wow. You'll be blown away by its rich, full, and creamy character. Despite its full character, you'll taste fresh notes of peach, nectarine, and apple. Perfectly balanced.
