Clos Saint Landelin, the Muré family's home in Rouffach, covers fifteen hectares. It forms the southern boundary of the Vorbourg Grand Cru. Due to the steep, south-facing slopes, terrace cultivation is the only option here. The soil is a stony, clayey-limestone subsoil composed of Bajocian calcareous sandstone and Oligocene calcareous conglomerates. The intense sunlight contributes to the terroir's distinctive character. Today, the twelfth generation is at the helm. Calcaires Jaunes refers to the yellow limestone from Rouffach. This stone, well-known in the region, was used to build the church of Rouffach and the collegiate church of Saint Martin of Colmar. The limestone soils are well-suited to the Riesling grape variety and emphasize its minerality. It produces fruity flavors and fine wines.
The Riesling Calcaires Jaunes has a beautiful pale yellow color. The nose evokes pears, angelica, youthfulness, and freshness. The wine is lively, long, and dry, with aromas of yellow fruit, lemon, and mandarin. On the palate, it's a typical Riesling, and the aromas of the nose are also expressed.
