Grapes from 2 different valleys are brought together for this wine.
- Location / origin: Wairau Valley and Waihopai Valley in Marlborough, on the South Island of New Zealand.
- Soil: The vineyards are situated on well-draining river terraces.
Cool processing helps to preserve the fragrant fruit aromas.
- Harvest & pressing: The grapes are hand-harvested in the cool of the morning and then gently pressed.
- Fermentation & finishing: The juice is fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then fined and filtered.
The distinctly fresh character comes from a single grape variety.
- 100% Sauvignon Blanc – Marlborough: Gives the wine its lively acidity and signature combination of citrus, tropical fruit, and green herbs.
