The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Kleine Oranjerie Chenin Blanc is a unique white wine originating in South Africa, a country known for its beautiful vineyards and unique wine production. This wine is made from the Chenin Blanc grape variety, considered one of the most versatile and distinctive grapes in the world.

Wildeberg is a unique winery that takes its name from the wild nature that thrives on the mountain where it is located. This mountain is a rugged and untamed piece of land. It's a place where natural beauty blends with rugged terrain, creating a unique environment for winemaking. The vinification process at Kleine Oranjerie Chenin Blanc uses stainless steel tanks entirely, allowing the wine to retain its pure and vibrant character. This vinification method contributes to the expression of the characteristic fruity aromas and flavors of the Chenin Blanc grape. During the process, the grapes are pressed and the juice is transferred to stainless steel tanks. Here, fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures. This low-temperature fermentation helps preserve the wine's fresh fruit notes. Maturing the wine on its lees (sur lie) also plays a key role in the vinification process. This technique involves keeping the wine in contact with the yeast cells for nine months, which contributes to the wine's texture and mouthfeel. This maturation allows Kleine Oranjerie Chenin Blanc to develop a medium- to full-bodied character, giving the wine a pleasant structure.

With its bright, pale yellow color, Kleine Oranjerie Chenin Blanc immediately reflects its freshness and vibrancy. The aroma is seductive and expressive, with delicate notes of tropical fruits like pineapple, juicy peach, and ripe apricot. These fruity aromas are complemented by subtle hints of citrus and flowers, giving the wine a refined complexity. The wine has a well-balanced acidity that beautifully balances the fruity notes. Flavorful layers of exotic fruits, such as mango and passion fruit, mingle with refreshing citrus notes and a hint of honey. This gives the wine a soft and silky texture, with an invigorating finish that will linger long in your memory.
