This Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs is, as the name suggests, made exclusively from white grapes. At the beginning of the 20th century, Giulio Ferrari planted large quantities of Chardonnay grapes, a unique practice in Italy, where indigenous grape varieties were primarily used. However, Giulio Ferrari specifically wanted Chardonnay, as it is also the king grape of Champagne. Just like Champagne, this Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, also known as the "methode traditionelle" (traditional method).
