This beautiful white Leira Reyero is made by none other than Bodega Pascual. This beautiful old winery is located in the town of Fuentelcésped, Burgos. Here are the old vineyards of this beautiful winery, and by old, we mean truly old. The finest grape varieties have been grown here since the fourteenth century. Bodega Pascual is known for using the most modern techniques in vinifying its wines while preserving ancient Spanish winemaking traditions.

The Albarino harvest in Rias Baixas

The old vineyards in Rías Baixas are filled with the Albariño grape. This grape thrives in the somewhat cold climate. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of several hundred meters above sea level. There can be enormous fluctuations between day and night temperatures here. This determines the harvest; the Albariño grapes retain their freshness and ripen very slowly. They can draw enormous strength from the soil structure, setting the tone for this superb white wine. A wine that is full-bodied and ripe, with abundant minerals and power.
