The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Weingut Henkel is known for its phenomenal wines, which celebrate German viticulture. Thomas Hensel, founder and current owner of this winery in the Palatinate, only established Hensel in 1990. In a short time, Weingut Hensel's wines have conquered the world. Charming grapes are primarily made from local grape varieties, such as Grauburgunder and Spätburgunder. However, Thomas Hensel doesn't shy away from exploring international grape varieties.

Chardonnay is known for its excellent wines. Wine lovers worldwide are enthusiastic about wines made with this beloved grape. Weingut Hensel has also planted several hectares of this all-rounder. Because the climate here can be somewhat milder than, for example, southern France, this grape develops more slowly. However, this doesn't compromise quality; quite the opposite. Because the Chardonnay grapes at Weingut Hensel are given ample time to ripen, Hensel Chardonnay is one of the finest white wines from the Palatinate.

Sit down and enjoy this. Not just any ordinary Chardonnay, but a glass of white wine that oozes quality. After harvest, Hensel Chardonnay is fermented for nine months in oak barrels. This oak releases a wealth of flavor, giving this white wine its distinct complexity. The nose is pleasant. You'll be seduced by refined nuances of toast, caramel, and vanilla. You'll also discover plenty of yellow fruit, such as peach and honeydew melon. A hint of spice perfectly complements this white wine. The palate is unparalleled and full-bodied. You won't get enough of Hensel Chardonnay. A powerful flavor palette unfolds on your taste buds. You'll discover numerous notes, such as peach, apricots, yellow plums, and overripe pineapple. A touch of vanilla and oak completes the wine. Hensel Chardonnay is an excellent accompaniment to a hearty poultry or shellfish lunch.
