Vina Tabali, the full name of this winery, is considered a true pioneer in Chilean winemaking. Founder Guillermo Luksic was a daredevil, an adventurer. He was the first to establish a winery in the Limari Valley. It is currently one of Chile's most renowned wine regions, but when Tabali was founded in 2002, the Limari Valley wasn't yet a significant aspect of the winemaking process. Thanks to Guillermo Luksic's efforts, Tabali's wines are now among the best in all of Chile.

The Chilean wines of Tabali

The founding of Tabali has a romantic story. Guillermo Luksic chose Limari Valley for a reason. His mother grew up in the town of Ovalle in Limari Valley. He remembered her fondly and wanted to honor her with a winery. And so it was that Tabali was founded approximately 400 kilometers north of the capital, Santiago.

Tabali was named after the iconic Tabali vineyard, where every grape deserves the best terroir. The terroir of the Tabali vineyard is clearly recognizable in every Tabali wine. This is the result of years of hard work: constantly identifying which grapes thrive in which location.

The Talinay wines of Tabali

The Tabali winery significantly expanded in 2009 with the purchase of the Talinay vineyard. This was preceded by years of research, all to ensure that Talinay wines achieve the highest quality. Talinay wines are still considered Chile's finest. The Tabali Talinay Pinot Noir, in particular, is highly regarded by many wine lovers. A subtle, distinctive red wine that showcases the Pinot Noir's power.
