The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Chenin Blanc may not enjoy the same popularity as, for example, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, but it has become a truly indispensable addition to any wine cabinet. Chenin Blanc originates in the Loire Valley, where for centuries it has produced the most fabulous wines. However, this grape was discovered by another major wine-producing country, South Africa. Together with the Loire Valley, they ensured that Chenin Blanc wines became increasingly popular worldwide. Vines can now be found all over the world, including in the south of France.

Les Volets produces its wines primarily in the Aude department in the south of France. It falls within the large Pays D'oc wine region, a wine region where all the subregions have merged. The vineyards are situated along the Aude River. This ensures the superb quality of the Chenin Blanc grape bunches. The nighttime temperatures along the banks of the river cool considerably, which benefits the quality of the bunches used in Les Volets Chenin Blanc.

Les Volets Chenin Blanc is produced by Boutinot, a giant cooperative with its origins in the Rhône region. However, this winery operates in several parts of the world, including the far south of France. Their vision is simple: to produce fine wines without additives. That's why Les Volets Chenin Blanc is so incredibly pure in aroma and flavor. Take a sniff. You'll smell invigorating citrus and green herbs. A soft note of fruit and minerals can be detected on the palate. The purity is indescribable. On the palate, Les Volets Chenin Blanc feels like a liquid paradise. Enjoy this Chenin Blanc with spicy curries for the perfect wine-food pairing.
