Dow's is a port house dating back to 1798 and acquired in 1882 by its current owners, the Symington family. Three quintas contribute to Dow's port. The most important is Quintado Bomfim, with 50 hectares of well-situated, south-facing vineyards in the heart of the CimaCorgo. There is also Quinta de Senhora de Ribiera, with 20 hectares of vineyards, and two private quintas owned by the Symingtons. Dow's produces one of the finest vintage ports available. This is certainly reflected in the taste and the awards the Symington family has received for this.
