The name 11300 refers to the Chardonnay's origins. It's the local postal code for Limoux and is therefore a nod to the surrounding appellation. A fantastic wine for anyone who appreciates the purity of Chardonnay, and as a surprise, it has a nice kick to it.

Top-quality French wines

In 2003, British couple James and Catherine Kinglake decided to embark on a new path. And so they purchased the Begude winery. They began with 29 hectares of vineyards where they produce wines with a beautiful expression of the terroir. The wines are notable for their purity and elegance. This is why the French wines from this winery are beloved worldwide. Besides the well-known Chardonnay from this region, Begude also grows Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Vignier, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, and Gruner Veltliner. Thanks in part to its excellent location, perfect Chardonnay grapes of the highest quality are produced. They grow at the foot of the Pyrenees, in the Limoux region. At an altitude of 400 meters, the vineyards are farmed entirely organically, and the vines are planted in clay-limestone soils. Yields are deliberately kept low, ensuring excellent concentration in the wine. The grapes are harvested and selected with the utmost care, ensuring only the very best make it into the bottle. The must is then fermented in oak barrels.

A Chardonnay with a kick

The result is a Chardonnay with a kick. The taste reveals the freshness of citrus combined with apple, pear, and nuts. The aroma reveals brioche, apple, and pear. It's a medium-bodied white wine, elegant yet with just the right amount of power. It's delicious as an aperitif or with a dinner of white fish and meat.
