From grape to wine

Delheim stands for innovation and experimentation. When Michael Sperling took over the winery from his uncle and aunt, he had no knowledge of grapes or winemaking. Through perseverance and experimentation, he eventually succeeded in creating world-renowned wines. Since the mid-1960s, Delheim has developed a loyal fan base that can't get enough of its wines. The grapes for Delheim Sauvignon Blanc are grown in various vineyards in Stellenbosch. After fermentation, the Sauvignon Blanc grapes are aged on the lees for several months. This gives the wine more depth and power.
