Chiarli 1860, not surprisingly, has been making Lambrusco since 1860. For over a century and a half, they have amassed the expertise to amaze both friends and foes. Our visit to this winery begins in the Emilia Romagna region, the birthplace of Lambrusco. From there, we travel to the western city of Modena. Indeed, world-famous for its balsamic vinegar. However, this traditionally university city has much more to offer: Lambrusco. This grape is widely planted around this medium-sized city. For years, they have been producing a slightly sweet sparkling wine here. This has put not only Modena, but all of Emilia Romagna, on the map.
This red Lambrusco from Chiarli 1860 has many special features. It starts with the bottle. The Champagne cork adds a touch of elegance. After all, what's more celebratory than the sound of a champagne cork popping? The lower alcohol content of 7.5 percent is also very pleasant. It makes the wine even more accessible and pleasant to the palate. All the ingredients for a perfect wine are therefore present in abundance. With seductive aromas of ripe red fruit, it's inevitable that this bottle of Rosé di Bacco Lambrusco Amabile Red will be emptied very quickly.
