A work of art, for which we are still grateful to the winemakers of Caliterra every day. The story of Caliterra all began over 30 years ago in Valle de Colchagua, a vast area 130 kilometers south of Chile's capital: Santiago! Eduardo Chadwick founded the winery with a clear vision: to produce high-quality wines. He focused on exploring what Chilean vineyards had to offer and anticipating it. Caliterra is an expert in this. Planting the most suitable grapes in the right vineyards. This is how Caliterra has conquered the world over the past three decades.

The vineyards of Caliterra

Caliterra Tributo Cabernet Sauvignon belongs to the Tributo series, a premium line. The grapes are all specially selected for this wine. Besides Cabernet Sauvignon, Caliterra Tributo Cabernet Sauvignon also uses a minimal amount of other grapes, such as Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The addition of these grapes changes annually. The winemaker strives to achieve the highest quality for Caliterra Tributo Cabernet Sauvignon. After fermentation, the juice is aged for another 12 months in wooden barrels. A small portion of these barrels are new French oak, which imparts a tremendous amount of flavor to the wine.

Nuances in Caliterra Tributo Cabernet Sauvignon

A luxurious glass of wine that will leave you dreaming. Thanks to the complex composition of the grapes, you'll smell and taste a wealth of aromas. The nose reveals mild notes of blackberry, red currant, and cassis. Swirling the Caliterra Tributo Cabernet Sauvignon in the glass, complex notes are released. You'll smell warm cinnamon, spicy pepper, and a hint of tobacco. As soon as you take a sip, the Caliterra Tributo Cabernet Sauvignon feels warm and sultry. On the palate, you'll discover distinct cherries, typical of a Cabernet Sauvignon. But taste further: peppers, plums, and caramel. Despite its depth, the wine remains pleasantly crisp and fresh on the finish.
