Buy or order Braida wine

A unique winery in Piedmont. While many Piedmont wineries primarily invest in well-known names like Barolo, Barbera d'Alba, and Roero Arneis (the pinnacle of Italian wines), Braida decided to do things differently. Its creation has also been an interesting process, where passion and perseverance were key elements. This passion is still evident in Braida wines.

The Piedmont wines from Italy

Piedmont is the epitome of the splendor and magnificence that Italian wines have to offer. No other region—there are no fewer than twenty—in Italy has as many DOC and DOCG classifications as Piedmont. Sixteen wines have the highest DOCG classification, and an astronomical 42 (!) Italian wines have the DOC classification.

The Italian wines of Braida

Originally, the Braida estate was a fragmented cluster of properties belonging to several small winegrowers. Giacomo Bologna had the early idea of combining these small vineyards into a single entity. However, it was his son, Guiseppe, who ultimately succeeded. It was a considerable undertaking, but 35 notarial deeds later, the Braida winery was successfully transformed into a single winery. The estate encompasses a total of 27 hectares, but only 16 hectares have been planted. Extensive research is being conducted on the remaining vineyards to ensure the best grapes can be planted.

Braida's wines have a unique character, with the local Barbera wine particularly scoring high. Besides the classic Barbera d'Asti, it also plays a starring role in perhaps Italy's finest wine: Braida Bricco dell'Uccellone. A truly mouthwatering gem. The winery also boasts another trump card: Braida Il Baciale Monferrato, an excellent blend of both Italian and international grape varieties.
