History of Bodegas Salentein

Bodegas Salentein is a name synonymous with excellence in the wine world, founded by Dutch businessman and visionary Mijndert Pon. The project began in 1997, and construction of the impressive bodega was completed in 1999. However, the Salentein vineyards, located in the beautiful Uco Valley, have a much longer history and are renowned for their excellent terroir and innovative winemaking techniques. Mijndert Pon's vision was to create wines that reflect the soul of Argentina, and the Cuvée Exceptionnelle Doux is a magnificent example.

Unique Quality and Vinification

The Cuvée Exceptionnelle Doux is made from carefully selected grapes from various plots of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, located at high altitudes in the Finca El Oasis and Finca La Pampa vineyards. The grapes are harvested using state-of-the-art machinery, and vinification begins with destemming in the vineyards. The grapes are then pressed, separating the must from the skins and seeds. After cold static decantation, alcoholic fermentation begins. The secondary fermentation for carbonation begins with the addition of sucrose and selected yeasts, after which the wine is aged on its lees. The result is a sparkling wine of exceptional quality, characterized by a fresh and lively flavor with a long, elegant, and slightly sweet finish.
