Marie-Antoinette, a controversial and unusual personality. In her image, Aubert and Mathieu wanted to create a wine that would take you off the beaten path. These two friends have joined forces to create wines that combine tradition and modernity.
Six months of maturation for Marie Antoinette Corbieres
Jean-Charles Aubert & Anthony Mathieu are two friends who have realized their dream and vision to make authentic wines in an environmentally friendly, nature-friendly, and sustainable way. To achieve this, they collaborate with organic and environmentally certified producers and growers, work on increasing plantings and diversity, planting trees, and fostering larger bee populations. Furthermore, they use only certified lightweight bottles and recycled packaging throughout their entire production process. So far, they have been very successful and are now climate-neutral. When it comes to their wines, they follow their vision of a transparent and natural approach. They produce juicy, authentic, and extremely drinkable wines that have received considerable international attention and rave reviews. The blend for this Marie Antoinette Corbieres is 60 percent Grenache and 40 percent Syrah. The grapes come from vineyards on the slopes of Talairan, located in the central part of Lagrasse, considered a high-quality region. The vines are 20 years old and are cultivated ecologically on chalky soils. At optimal ripeness, the grapes are harvested by hand and brought to the winery. Here, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place in concrete and steel tanks for three weeks. Finally, the wine is aged for another six months in concrete tanks.A soft red wine from Aubert Mathieu
Marie Antoinette emerges with a deep red color in the glass. The nose offers aromas of red fruit, menthol, and spices. The palate features velvety tannins followed by a light acidity. Smooth and perfectly balanced, with a pleasant freshness, this red will be a wonderful companion for lovers of grilled or marinated meats.Product details
