We love champagne—who doesn't? However, the competition within the Champagne region is challenging and fierce. Each champagne is more fantastic than the last. It's impossible to pinpoint the best champagne house. However, we do have a shortlist, and Champagne Ayala, among others, holds a prominent place. In our opinion, a standout is a dry, elegant style of Champagne that many other champagne houses envy.

Champagne Ayala is the result of a committed marriage in the mid-19th century. Colombian diplomat Edmond de Ayala fell in love with a beautiful Frenchwoman from the village of Ay. They married, and part of their dowry was a magnificent country house with its vineyards. Champagne Ayala was born. For a long time, it was the champagne of choice at the British Court: King Edward VII was fond of it. Besides their classic Ayala Brut Majeur, the house is particularly successful with a luxurious rosé champagne, considered one of the finest.

After the decades-long success of Ayala's classic rosé champagne, winemaker Caroline Latrive decided to create a true work of art. Ayala No. 14 Brut Rosé 2014 is a vintage champagne made from 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Uniquely, the grapes are sourced from the five Grand Cru vineyards where Ayala operates. These include vineyards in Ayala's backyard (Ay) as well as renowned Grand Crus such as Chouilly, Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger, Verzy, and Cramant—reputable names for true champagne lovers. Before the champagne leaves the impressive cellars, it ages for an incredible six years—an incredible amount of time.

Would you also like to enjoy this unique 2014 vintage rosé champagne? Be quick! Only 7,235 bottles were produced for the global market. This may seem like a significant amount, but only a tiny fraction is reserved for Northwest Europe. The flavor of Ayala No. 14 Brut Rosé 2014 is delicate, elegant, and distinctive. Unparalleled! You'll taste red fruits such as currants, morello cherries, and a hint of cherry. But when you thoroughly swirl the champagne around your mouth, a bouquet reveals itself that will leave you speechless: mango, lychee, blossoming cherry, passion fruit, ginger, blood orange, and lime. The finish reveals the characteristic minerals for which Ayala Champagne is known.
