From vineyard to bottle

The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Azahara is the luxury brand of the magnificent Deakin Winery. Azahara stands for fine, opulent sparkling wines from the land down under—because they certainly know how to make wine in Australia! Deakin Winery is a fixture on the upward trend of Australian wines. It started small as a bottler, but has since become the doyen of Australian wines.

Deakin is part of an Australian family business that has existed for over 75 years. Calabria Family Wines already suggests something. Indeed, this family's roots lie in Italy. Winemaking is in their blood. However, they decided to focus on Australia, which at the time was one of the emerging countries. They focused primarily on southeast Australia, as viticulture in the rest of the country was practically impossible due to the unbearable heat.

Deakin Winery has been around for a while and has decided to take on a new challenge: Azahara Wines. A pure focus on sparkling wines. The vineyards in Victoria are already quite unique. The vines are interspersed with exuberant citrus, mango, and avocado trees. Even a stroll through the vineyards is a feast for the senses, where you can see, feel, smell, and taste everything!

The star of this sparkling bubbly called Azahara Moscato Deakin is the lush Moscato grape. A sweet and sultry delight that wins recognition from the very first mention of its name. This Azahara Deakin variety is exquisite, thanks in part to the warm climate of southeast Australia. When the champagne cork leaves the bottle with a soft pop, you're immediately treated to an impressive aroma and flavor. White grapes, ripe mango, and fresh orange peel. A beautiful sweetness that's never too intense. The fine bubbles are also striking: pleasant but not too intense, making Azaharo Moscato Deakin a delightful thirst quencher.
