The 2017 vintage for Sauternes received an excellent score of 92 points in the Robert Parker Vintage Chart. The wines from this year are relatively early maturing and are currently beautifully approachable.

Sometimes you stumble upon gems that instantly put all the other top wines in our selection to shame. Those that set Amarone and Barolo apart. Those that stand above Rothschild wines. And those that are more unique than even the most exclusive Champagnes in the world. We're talking about a truly unique case, containing six exquisite bottles of Sauternes wine. The Sauternes wines from France

The wines from Sauternes are truly exceptional. World-renowned thanks to their complex production process and vibrant flavors. Sauternes may only be produced in the small region of the same name, which is part of Graves (a subregion of Bordeaux). Creating a bottle of Sauternes wine requires a great deal of work. It all begins in the vineyards. The Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes must first undergo noble rot before being harvested. This process is also known as botrytis, or noble rot. This is the great secret of Sauternes and gives the wine its full, powerful, and sultry flavor.

The most special Sauternes wines in a box

This unique case contains a total of six bottles. Five of these are premium Sauternes wines from exceptional vineyards. These are resounding names such as Château Sigalas Rabaud, Château de Rayne Vigneau, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, Château La Tour Blanche, and Château Rabaud Promis. They are all success stories from Sauternes, and every single one has received high marks from the Wine Advocate. While these five bottles of Sauternes wine are of the highest quality, they are not yet the flagship of the case.

The Sauternes Cuvée 5+

The five different wineries are highly renowned in the Sauternes region. Wine lovers queue up annually for each individual Sauternes wine. However, the five wineries have joined forces for the sixth bottle: this very unique, limited edition case. This sixth bottle is a highly exclusive blend of the other five bottles. The very best of the very best from Sauternes are combined to create a "super" Sauternes. This Cuvée 5+ combines the most exceptional vineyards. Each Sauternes wine contributes 20% to the wine.
