Domaine Preignes Le Vieux is a winery located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. The estate has a rich history dating back to 1202, and the beautifully situated château still retains several original features, including a tower and gateway. The estate has developed into a versatile winery with a wide variety of grape varieties, and the current owners, brothers Jérôme, Robert, and Bruno Vic, are fifth-generation winemakers. One of the wineries produced is the Greg & Juju series. These wines, named after the winemakers' children, are comprised of exquisite, high-quality wines. The vinification process for Greg & Juju Pinot Grenache Rosé begins with the early mechanical harvest of the Pinot Noir and Grenache Noir grapes grown in volcanic soil. Harvesting takes place at night to ensure the grapes are picked at their optimal ripeness. After harvesting, the grapes undergo a pneumatic pressing process to separate the juice. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, allowing the grapes to release their optimal aromas and flavors. By combining these factors, the vinification process results in a refreshing and fruity rosé with a good balance of grape varieties.
