The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The Gris des Seigneurs Rosé is more than just a wine; it's one of Estandon's crown jewels. Hailing from the picturesque Pays du Var, this region is renowned for its exquisite wines. Jean Bagnis, Estandon's visionary founder, recognized the potential of the Côtes de Provence as early as 1947. His acquisition of this prestigious estate proved a masterstroke. Thanks to his leadership and the quality of his wines, Estandon quickly gained a trophy cabinet. In 1973, Estandon joined forces with other winegrowers, formed a cooperative, and shared their expertise. This collaboration elevated the quality of their rosé, particularly the Gris des Seigneurs Rosé, to unprecedented levels. Over the years, Estandon has also invested in vineyards in the Pays du Var, the birthplace of many outstanding rosé wines, including the Gris des Seigneurs Rosé.

The Gris des Seigneurs Rosé from Estandon is a harmonious blend of Cinsault and Grenache grapes, grown on medium-aged vines. The Pays du Var offers an ideal climate for these grapes, with abundant sunshine and cooling ocean breezes. These breezes provide a refreshing touch, allowing the grapes to retain their freshness and ripen naturally. After a patient growing season, the grapes are harvested at dawn to preserve their optimal freshness. Upon arrival at the winery, only the finest grapes are selected for the Gris des Seigneurs Rosé, resulting in a wine of unparalleled purity and finesse.

As soon as you pour the Gris des Seigneurs Rosé, you're greeted by a delicate pink hue, a result of the subtle fermentation of the grape skins. The aromas are a feast for the senses: strawberry, raspberry, a hint of grapefruit, and light spice. A subtle swirl of the glass also reveals mineral notes and hints of peach. On the palate, the Gris des Seigneurs Rosé is a symphony of flavors: vibrant strawberry, lemon zest, and a refreshing finish of grapefruit and fresh red apple. Every sip of this Gris des Seigneurs Rosé is a reminder of Estandon's expertise and passion.
