The progressive winery Viticcio

The Italian winery Viticcio is located in one of Tuscany's most beautiful regions. Its vineyards are nestled on the rolling hills of the hamlet of Greve in Chianti. Since 1964, wines have been produced here with great passion and care. It is a progressive winery that is incredibly successful with its high-quality wines. The winery owns a total of 58 hectares of vineyards, where Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, and Vermentino grapes are grown. The wines are made using a combination of traditional and modern technologies, but always with respect for nature. The result is a range of unique wines with elegance, freshness, and exceptional quality. Enhancing the flavors and aromas of each varietal is essential for obtaining wines that express the distinctive characteristics of the land. During harvest, the grapes undergo a double selection in the vineyard and a further selection in the cellar on the sorting table, where everything is done entirely by hand and with the utmost care. The varietals are vinified separately at controlled temperatures, and the red grapes are always crushed very gently. The choice of oak during aging is crucial, and French oak barrels are primarily used.
