Domaine du Bosquet is one of our favorite wineries in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. This region is known for its miles of beaches, wonderful climate, and the superb wines produced here. The wines of Domaine du Bosquet are no exception. In the early 1990s, the winery acquired additional vineyards and replanted them to a very high standard. Only the finest vines were considered for these vineyards. Today, the vineyards are well-aged and produce exceptionally good grapes. One of the wines the winery is most proud of is this Domaine du Bosquet Merlot.

Top merlot from Languedoc-Roussillon

The Merlot grapes for this red wine from Domaine du Bosquet were cultivated with great care and finesse. The vines are planted at the foot of the hills, ensuring the grapes receive ample sunshine and sufficient coolness for a wonderfully fresh wine. Throughout the growing season, all the grapes are carefully monitored and meticulously cared for. Nothing is too good for these little gems on the vines. When the Merlot grapes are perfectly ripe, the harvest begins very early in the morning. Under the winemaker's strict supervision, all the bunches are transported in small crates to the winery so that pressing can begin. Before the grapes reach the press, they are carefully inspected and destemmed. Only the finest grapes are used to create this fantastic red wine. After vinification, this red wine is aged for six months in oak barrels for added body and finesse.

Silky smooth red wine

We can't wait to try this red wine from Domaine du Bosquet! In the glass, we see a deep, dark red with a purple rim, characteristic of a fine Merlot. The aroma offers a harmonious interplay of ripe plums, blackcurrant jam, and vanilla. The palate is silky smooth and warm, with beautiful nuances of black fruit interspersed with notes of tobacco, cloves, cinnamon, and a touch of toasted oak. The finish is smooth, warm, and sultry. What a superb wine for this price range!
