Vintage Report

2023 was een goed jaar voor de Elzas, met gunstige weersomstandigheden die resulteerden in gezonde druiven en wijnen met goede rijpheid. De Pinot Noir van dit jaar zal waarschijnlijk fruitig en toegankelijk zijn.
Although Alsace wines are primarily known for their white wines, red wine is certainly produced there as well. However, this isn't common, mainly because the terroir lends itself perfectly to white grape varieties. Fortunately, Pinot Noir feels completely at home in Alsace. While this grape may be just as headstrong as Gewürztraminer and Riesling, it has nevertheless built a huge fan base in the wine world. Wolfberger Pinot Noir is accessible and easy to drink, making it a favorite among all.

The vineyards of Wolfberger

Nearly all the vineyards surrounding Eguisheim, the village where Wolfberger Winery is located, are planted with white grapes such as Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer. Fortunately, Wolfberger also reserves a small plot for the stubborn Pinot Noir. A challenging grape that, with the right attention, can create a sublime wine. Fortunately, Wolfberger's years of experience have proven to be a skilled winemaker, making Wolfberger Pinot Noir, in our opinion, one of the finest Pinot Noirs from Alsace.

Enjoy a bottle of Wolfberger Pinot Noir

Red wines have always been a bit of a neglected child in the French wine region of Alsace. Try a glass of Wolfberger Pinot Noir and you'll know for sure. Alsace is not only good at white wines, but also at reds. Before enjoying Wolfberger Pinot Noir, make sure to chill it slightly. The aromas are best revealed at a temperature of 15-16 degrees Celsius. Use your nose and discover notes of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. A pleasant aroma that you'll want to keep sniffing. Take a sip of Wolfberger Pinot Noir and savor an aromatic wine bursting with fruit. Expressive notes of strawberry and berry roll across your tongue. An accessible wine that beautifully translates the quality of Wolfberger into a perfect taste.
