These wines are ideal for sharing during a delicious dinner. The grapes for Earth Garden grow on vines with a low yield. This significantly improves the quality and perfectly enhances the flavors. The vineyards are located in Marlborough and are true gems that sparkle on the hills. Villa Maria uses screw caps for all its ranges, including the Earth Garden. They are one of the leaders in this field and have been advocating for screw caps for years. Villa Maria is convinced that this is better for the wines. This oak aging results in a red wine with a beautiful, bright ruby color. The aroma offers lovely aromas of blackcurrant, plum, light spice, and pleasant notes of vanilla and oak. The taste is delicate, as we would expect from a good Pinot Noir. Soft and subtle nuances of ripe red fruit alternate with pleasant acidity and soft tannins. A hint of spice and vanilla on the back of the palate, along with a sultry finish, is evident. Pinot Noir lends itself to being slightly chilled before consumption.
