The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

What a magnificent wine this Salentein Numina Pinot Noir is. A unique and elegant wine made from the characteristic Pinot Noir grape. The Pinot Noir grapes for Numina are cultivated with great care in the Salentein vineyards, with attention paid to every detail of the growing process. The grapes thrive in this terroir and contribute to the wine's characteristic qualities. What truly sets this Pinot Noir apart is the refinement and complexity of its flavor.

Salentein Numina Pinot Noir originates from the breathtaking Finca La Pampa in San Pablo GI, situated at an altitude of between 1200 and 1300 meters above sea level. This vineyard is characterized by its unique terroir, where alluvial soil of sand mixed with loam and strewn with calcium stones contributes to the unique growing conditions of the grapes. The grapes for this Pinot Noir are harvested by hand and rigorously selected before reaching the cellar. Here, they first undergo cold maceration, a process that helps preserve the freshness and characteristic aromas of the grapes. During fermentation, the must is gently placed on top of the juice, and by racking the juice back over the must, maximum extraction is achieved. This process ensures that the wine is infused with the intense fruity flavors and tannins so characteristic of Salentein Numina Pinot Noir.

Salentein Numina Pinot Noir presents itself in the glass with a bright cherry red color. The nose welcomes us with sultry aromas of sun-drenched cherries, accompanied by hints of red fruit, a subtle touch of sweetness, and a touch of spice. At first sip, this Pinot Noir reveals a range of flavors. Warm red fruits, such as juicy cherries and blackcurrants, form the foundation of the taste experience. This is followed by soft herbs and the surprising addition of spices, including cinnamon and vanilla. The wine is juicy and fresh, with a refreshing acidity that balances the whole.

Vintage 2022
