Valle Reali is the renowned winery behind Corte Fiore, located near the picturesque village of Popoli. These vineyards are surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, where absolute tranquility reigns. The vineyards are ideally situated, with the Apennine Mountains acting as a natural barrier that protects the vines. The Montepulciano grapes, which form the basis for this wine, are harvested relatively late, allowing them to dry beautifully. After harvest, the grape bunches are dried even further in the cellar, resulting in a limited amount of juice. Nevertheless, this juice is exceptionally concentrated, giving the wine its characteristic Appassimento aromas and flavors.
The Appassimento technique has done its job well. It creates a thick and robust bouquet. We fell in love with it. Both the aroma and the taste are initially characterized by the unmistakable aromas of cherries. But Corte Fiore Appassimento Lupi Reali has so much more to offer. How about delicate raspberries, prunes, and generous blueberries? A delicious red wine where fruit clearly takes center stage. A beautiful glass of Montepulciano from Abruzzo, made in a unique way.
