Bottega Il Vino dell'Amore Petalo Moscato is a sparkling Moscato that revolves entirely around emotion, fragrance, and elegance. The name and design deliberately evoke love and refinement, with the rose symbolizing softness and romance. Developed as a celebratory expression within the Bottega range, this wine has established itself over the years as a slightly sweet spumante with a distinct aromatic profile. Its low alcohol content and clear focus on aroma and balance make this a style that is instantly recognizable and enjoys worldwide popularity.
The grapes come from Italy, from Veneto, more specifically from the Euganean Hills in the province of Padua. This area features volcanic and sedimentary soils with a high mineral content, which contribute to fresh acidity and aromatic tension. The climate is temperate with mild winters, warm and dry summers, and marked temperature variations between day and night. Due to temperature inversion, temperatures in the hills are often higher than in the surrounding plains, which allows for even ripening. Bottega has a long history of working with Moscato here and consciously utilizes this provenance to combine freshness, aroma, and purity.
The grapes are harvested in the first days of September and quickly brought to the cellar to prevent oxidation and loss of aromas. After a gentle pressing, the juice is separated from the skins and carefully clarified. Fermentation takes place according to the Martinotti method in closed tanks at a controlled temperature of 14°C, using selected yeasts to preserve the primary aromas of Moscato. Afterward, the wine is cold-stabilized, filtered, and bottled. The result is a spumante with a low alcohol content of 6.5% and a distinctly residual sweetness, without losing its freshness.
