Salcuta Winery has primarily cultivated French grape varieties in its vineyards. Varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot, and Pinot Gris thrive in the southeastern Moldovan terroir. This is no coincidence. Salcuta's vineyards are located at roughly the same latitude as Bordeaux vineyards. Furthermore, the nearby Black Sea provides the necessary cooling for the vineyards. The result is full, flavorful bunches of Pinot Gris grapes, which, thanks to the expertise of Moldovan winemakers, are processed to near perfection.
A distinctive wine, the perfect accompaniment to a leisurely lunch with friends. Surprise your guests with the boundless quality that Salcuta can offer. Although Moldovan wine isn't well-known, its quality is astronomically high. A growing number of major wineries in this country are exporting to developed Western countries, and with great success. This Salcuta Pinot Gris Winemaker's Way is our vinologist's personal favorite. With its fresh aroma and flavor of green apple and lime, this white wine pairs perfectly with seafood dishes.
