This grand Chardonnay from Puglia reflects Tormaresca's unique qualities. Both elegant and refreshing. Tormaresca's winemakers know exactly what this grape needs. Using innovative techniques, they vinify it into a high-quality wine.
The wine regions of Tormaresca
Since the 1990s, the Antinori family has been producing wines from the Tormaresca winery in the heel of Italy's boot. These are beautiful, high-quality wines that only improve with age. Since their arrival, wine production in southern Italy has boomed. They are located in two of Puglia's most important wine regions: Bocca di Lupo in Castel del Monte and Masseria Maime in Salento. Here, they use local grapes and have surprised many wine lovers. Organic wines are also starting to play a larger role. Their wines also regularly win awards, and for good reason. The ripe Chardonnay grapes are carefully harvested. They are then taken to the cellar where they are gently crushed. The resulting must is cooled and kept at a cold temperature for a day to promote natural clarification. Alcoholic fermentation follows in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 16 degrees Celsius. This allows the aromas to be fully extracted. The Chardonnay wine then matures for several months in stainless steel vats before bottling. The fresh Chardonnay from Tormaresca
The Tormaresca Chardonnay emerges in the glass with a straw-yellow color and greenish reflections. The aroma is refreshing, with notes of white fruit, apples, and pineapple. Citrus notes balance the aroma and make it an attractive white wine. On the palate, it's a soft and fresh wine with fruity notes and a pleasant acidity. The finish is a long, fruity aftertaste.Product details
