Special treatment for the Pinot Grigio

This Caleo Pinot Grigio Blush is made from Pinot Grigio grapes. We can already hear you thinking, "Isn't this a white grape?" Indeed, it is. But the winemakers at Caleo are so passionate about crafting exceptional wines that, after extensive research, they've managed to achieve this light blush. By allowing the grapes to ripen in the vineyards longer than they normally would, the Pinot Grigio skins begin to discolor. The skin color then darkens, developing a beautiful pinkish hue. Once the grapes are hand-picked, they are transported to the winery in small crates. Using small crates of no more than 10 kilos minimizes damage to the grapes during transport. Once arrived at the press, the skins are soaked for a few hours to achieve the pink blush. After vinification and aging in stainless steel vats, this delicious rosé is ready to be served.
