Vintage Report
The grapes ripened in a climate with warm days and cool nights, which promoted even ripening. This ensured an optimal balance and an expressive fruity character in the wine.
The Vom Haus St. Laurent focuses on one grape variety: Saint Laurent. Only the very best grapes are selected to vinify this elegant red wine from Pfaffl. The grapes are grown on loess soil, which allows them to develop unique characteristics as they ripen. This makes this Vom Haus St. Laurent full-bodied, spicy, and rich in fruit aromas. It has a distinctive flavor with soft tannins.
Quality wines from Pfaffl
The Austrian winery Pfaffl is a hit with many. With their wide range of wines, they have conquered the world. Their vineyards are spread across ten different cities, in the Weinviertel region and Vienna. Roman and Adelheid Pfaffl's adventure began with a 0.75-hectare vineyard and has grown to 110 hectares in 40 years. This gives them a wide variety of soil structures and climates. And these characteristics are reflected in every wine. The wines range from light to powerful. The Saint Laurent grapes ripen in a climate of warm days alternating with cool nights. This allows the grapes to ripen evenly and time to do so. The grapes are carefully harvested, destemmed, and pressed in the winery. The resulting must is transferred to stainless steel tanks where fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. During these 21 days, the must is continuously pumped over. After fermentation, the wine is stored in used oak barrels where it ages for six months. What does Pfaffl from Haus St. Laurent taste like?
The Vom Haus St. Laurent radiates a ruby red color in the glass. Aromas of spice and fruit, with a hint of strawberry, burst forth from the glass. The palate is full-bodied, with distinct notes of plum and blackberry. This is complemented by notes of raspberry and fine herbs. These flavors carry you through to a pleasant finish filled with soft tannins. A perfect wine to pair with a good meat dish.Product details
