A unique offering from the leading Austrian winery, Leth. This winery was founded over 60 years ago, in 1960, by Franz and Barbara Leth. For the first twenty years, it remained a small, local winery, until their son, Franz, became involved in the business in 1981. He ensured that Leth's wines would develop to international standards. His efforts in the 1980s ensured that Leth wines are now in high demand worldwide.

The Roter Veltliner from Weingut Leth

Despite its name, Roter Veltliner is not a red grape. Its name "Roter" comes from the grapes' tendency to develop a slightly reddish hue. However, it is used exclusively for white wine production, primarily in the Wagram region. This, not entirely coincidentally, is the wine region where Weingut Leth is located. For several years now, they have also planted several Roter Veltliner vineyards, and not entirely without success. It has proven to be a real sales success for the owners of Weingut Leth.

A world-class Austrian wine

The grape is considerably rarer than Gruner Veltliner, so if you own a bottle of Leth Roter Veltliner, you'll have a rarity in your possession. This makes the enjoyment of this impressive wine twice as great. Both the aroma and the taste are incredibly vibrant. As soon as you pour the white wine, it practically bursts out of your glass. Your taste buds will discover all sorts of delicacies in this wine, such as red apple, sweet melon, ripe pear, and yellow plums. Thanks to its excellent acidity, it's a perfect pairing with, for example, asparagus.
