This latest wine from Gruber Röschitz is made from Pinot Noir grapes from the Galgenberg region. This red wine should be enjoyed at around 15 degrees Celsius, slightly chilled, as this brings out all its wonderful qualities!

Aromatic wines from Austria

The Pinot Noir grapes used for this wine come from the Weinviertel wine region in Lower Austria, the first region in Austria to hold a DAC (Declaration of Authenticity) for Riesling and Grüner Veltliner wines, and since 2009, also a Weinviertel DAC Reserve. Lower Austria is one of three Austrian states designated as a separate wine region. This unique region, stretching from the Danube to the border with the Czech Republic in the north and Slovakia in the east, is Austria's largest wine region. The soil in this region consists primarily of loess with a relatively high limestone content. This results in wines with a strong aromatic potential and full character. The Gruber family winery Röschitz was built by Ewald Gruber in the Weinviertel region. He saw, and still sees, the Weinviertel as an area of unlimited possibilities. He founded the company at a time when the vineyards of Lower Austria and Weinviertel DAC were not yet highly regarded. This meant that it was still relatively easy to grow by purchasing good-quality land for planting vineyards. The winery is located in the village of Röschitz, one of the Weinviertel's best wine villages. Through the winery's continuous expansion, Gruber also owns historic vineyards such as Stift Altenburg on the Manhartsberg and the famous Schloss Maissau. The winery has now reached 80 hectares, which is considerable for a family-run business.

An elegant red wine from the classy winery Gruber Röschitz

This QBA 'Galgenberg' is a lively, elegant, and smooth red wine from the prestigious Austrian winery Gruber Röschitz. It has a light cherry red color and a delicate aroma of delicious cherry and strawberry flavors with a hint of spice. A beautiful Pinot Noir with a lively fruit character, juicy flavor, balanced acidity, and good length. This wine is wonderful on its own but also pairs well with game dishes, pasta dishes, salads (with pasta), and light white cheese.
