The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Pommery Brut Royal is the emblematic champagne of Maison Pommery and forms the heart of the house style: fresh, lively, refined, and elegant. This Brut Champagne is composed of approximately 40 carefully selected crus and is aged in the bottle for 3 years, allowing it to develop fine bubbles, light toasted notes, and beautiful length.

Pommery Brut Royal comes from Champagne, in northeastern France.

Location / Origin: The blend is made up of approximately 40 selected villages spread across the Champagne region, including origins from the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, and other champagne areas.

Region: Champagne is known for its cool climate, chalky soils, and sparkling wines made using the traditional method.

Climate & Influences: The cool climate helps the grapes retain their lively acidity and refined aromatic tension, essential for the fresh and elegant style of Brut Royal.

Pommery Brut Royal is made according to the traditional champagne method, with a second fermentation in the bottle.

Fermentation: First, a still base wine is made, after which the final blend is composed to maintain the recognizable Pommery style.

Second fermentation in the bottle: After blending, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle. This creates the fine mousse, the pressure, and the elegant bubbles that give Brut Royal its lively character.

Bottle aging: The champagne ages for 3 years on the lees in the bottle. This long aging provides extra breadth, light toasted notes, more complexity, and a soft, refined texture.

Alcohol content: With 12.5% alcohol, Brut Royal remains fresh and energetic, with enough structure to beautifully support the aging notes and white fruit.

This champagne is made from the 3 classic grape varieties of Champagne.

Chardonnay – Champagne: Chardonnay gives Brut Royal its freshness, citrus, white flowers, and fine tension.

Pinot Noir – Champagne: Pinot Noir brings structure, breadth, and subtle notes of small red fruit.

Pinot Meunier – Champagne: Pinot Meunier adds roundness, supple fruit, and immediate accessibility to the blend.
