Cantina Girlan was founded in 1923, when 23 winegrowers joined forces to establish a winery in a former 16th-century farmhouse. With the laying of the first stones, a rich history of passion and dedication to producing high-quality wines began. Over the years, the winery has built an excellent reputation as a leading wine producer in the region.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully placed in small containers to avoid excessive pressure. The grapes then undergo a gentle pressing and clarification of the must through natural settling. After these steps, fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. During fermentation, the sugars in the grapes convert into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Finally, the wine is aged on its lees in stainless steel tanks, which adds complexity and aromas to the wine.
Girlan Pinot Bianco is a beautiful white wine with a lemon-yellow color that fills the glass with its radiant brilliance upon pouring. The light apple blossom bouquet is complemented by fruity notes of riper fruits, such as kiwi and melon, giving the wine a refreshing and lively aroma. Upon tasting, the crisp acidity is immediately noticeable. This is, however, well-balanced by the fruit concentration, resulting in a delightful tasting experience. The palate is fruity and rich, again emphasizing the juicy apples and apple blossom so characteristic of the grape variety. The wine has a lively texture and a refreshing acidity that perfectly balances the fruity character.
