When we think of organic wines, people quickly say they're far too expensive. The Viento Aliseo Viognier proves the opposite. Viento Aliseo wines come from Dominio de Punctum. Dominio de Punctum literally means "estate at the crossroads." This beautiful estate is located at the intersection of three cities: Cueca, Ciudad Real, and Albacete. The winery that also produces Viento Aliseo wines was founded in 2005. In the relatively short time since its founding, the winery has become the most awarded organic winery in Spain. One of these organic top wines is the Viento Aliseo Viognier, and it comes at a fantastic price.

Organic top product from Dominio de Punctum

The grapes for this Viento Aliseo Viognier are grown in La Mancha, a perfect region for producing organic wines. The plants are now 10 years old and produce beautiful grapes. This red wine is made from the unique vines of the Las Pedroñeras vineyard. Why choose the vineyards in La Mancha? The days are wonderfully warm in the vineyards, followed by perfectly cool nights. This creates a calm and balanced growing season. When the grapes are ripe, they are harvested by hand at night, after which they are pressed. This nighttime harvest ensures the grapes are still dormant and prevents oxidation due to the heat. After vinification and bottling, the wine is aged in the bottle for three months in the Dominio de Punctum cellars for an exquisite result.

It's finally here! We're ready to taste this Viento Aliseo Viognier from Dominio Punctum. Its color is light golden yellow with a beautiful greenish sheen. On the nose, this Viento Aliseo white wine is rich and aromatic, floral, and has a lovely hint of citrus fruit at the back of the nose. The palate is robust and full, with lovely acidity and freshness, floral, and beautiful fruit notes of yellow fruit balanced by a subtle hint of citrus. This organic Viognier is blessed with a beautifully intense, long finish.
