With this Torres Mas La Plana, made of Cabernet Sauvignon, Miguel Torres definitively established his name in the wine world. Miguel Torres, founder of the Torres winery, brought several grape varieties back to Spain after studying in France, including Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1979, he astonished everyone by beating all the major Bordeaux wines at the Wine Olympiad in Paris with this Torres Mas La Plana.

The young wine is aged for 18 months in the finest new oak Nevers has to offer. This is reflected in the aroma and flavor. Starting with the aroma, your nose will be working overtime. You'll smell so much: blackcurrant, licorice, toffee, but also truffle and licorice. The flavor is at least as incomparable as the aroma. Full, rich, and powerful. A typical Cabernet Sauvignon. Distinctive cherry and cassis notes form the base. Let the wine steep a few times.
