This beautiful winery was founded in 2005 by a group of independent winegrowers. All the winegrowers are located in the area around O Salnés and quickly agreed: they wanted to conquer the world with their grapes. They joined forces and shared their knowledge, which immediately determined the quality, because together you know more than alone. Today, more winegrowers have joined Paco & Lola, and the total now stands at four hundred different winegrowers. This has further improved the quality, and the wines have often been featured in the wine press. Paco & Lola now has two hundred hectares of vineyards and has allowed the Albarino to shine. All these plots are located in the largest of the five DO Rías Baixas subzones, Val do Salnés.

The Albarino is the grape of Galicia

This white No. 12 is also made from the Galician grape, the Albarino. It is grown near the Atlantic coast on mineral-rich sandy soils atop granite, a characteristic the Rías Baixas wine region is known for. The refined and cool climate allows the Albarino grape to mature slowly and evenly. The strong, cool sea breeze refreshes the bunches, a characteristic you can also taste in this white wine. The harvest for this No. 12 Albarino is harvested early in the morning at perfect ripeness. This prevents damage and oxidation to the bunches and contributes to the purity of this white wine. Paco & Lola's winemaker thoroughly inspects the harvest upon arrival at the winery; only the finest bunches are used in this top-quality wine.

Full and very powerful this Paco & Lola No 12 Albarino

The wine is named No. 12 Albarino because it ages with the must for a total of 12 days. This gives this white Paco & Lola wine great power and maturity. In the glass, this white wine is golden yellow with a slight green shimmer. It has a rich aroma and is considerably more powerful than its younger brother. Beautiful hints of citrus, orange, and acacia give us a very special sensation. On the palate, this Paco & Lola No. 12 Albarino initially offers a fresh attack. Beautiful deep flavors of lime and peach, accompanied by green herbs like mint and a touch of grapefruit. The finish is long, with recurring notes of white and citrus fruit. What a full-bodied and especially powerful Albarino wine.
