In the south of Spain, in the Jumilla wine region, we find the Bodegas Bellavista winery. This beautiful winery was one of the first to recognize the region's progressive character. As a result, the family settled in Jumilla as early as 1870. They were among the first to plant the refreshing Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. This grape thrives thanks to its perfect position in the sun. The bunches also receive plenty of refreshment from the ocean breeze and the wonderfully cool nights. The Bodegas Bellavista winery has dedicated itself entirely to this wine region, and this is evident in all their wines: abundant richness, finesse, and traditional winemaking techniques.

Cambil Bay's old Sauvignon Blanc vineyard

The vineyards for this white Cambil Bay are now quite mature. They don't produce many bunches, but they are very powerful. These are therefore cultivated with great love by the family. They opt for both modern and traditional winemaking techniques. This makes it a wine of the future, in our opinion. The Sauvignon Blanc bunches enjoy a perfect climate between the warmth of the sun, the coolness of the wind, and nighttime temperatures. This makes the growth process very slow and balanced. The bunches can draw abundant nutrients from the rich soil structure, and when the harvest is ripe, it is harvested during the night.

It flows from the glass, offering hints of exotic fruits like papaya, mango, citrus, and a touch of freshly cut grass. The lovely, vibrant, and especially refreshing aroma carries through to the palate. A beautiful blend of flavors, tantalizing the palate with light acidity of grapefruit and green apple. As this Cambil Bay Sauvignon Blanc settles on the palate, we also detect hints of orange, gooseberry, and lime. What a beautiful glass of wine!
