One of the first families to begin producing wine in California is the Idelicato family. Their first vineyard, planted with meticulous care in 1924, has ultimately earned them numerous awards. The third generation is now at the helm of several wineries. The distinctive California wines they produce come from vineyards in the Monterey and Lodi regions. Both are known for their diverse microclimates, allowing them to produce a variety of distinctive wines. The family plants each grape variety in precisely the right terroir, ensuring each wine is of high quality. The Chardonnay grapes come from specially selected vineyards in Northern California and are only harvested when they reach peak ripeness. A rigorous selection process is then carried out in the winery, with only the finest grapes remaining. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks follows, resulting in abundant fruit. After several months of rest, the wine is ready for bottling.
