Vintage Report
The 2022 vintage in California's North Coast is rated 88-90 points by Robert Parker. However, it is described as an inconsistent year, even among the best wines.
After the success of Panamera's white Chardonnay, it's time for a top-notch red. And let's write "TOPPER" in capital letters, because this wine is truly delicious. The winery is part of its big brother, the Rutherford Range, and is also led by the renowned winemaker, Mr. Steve Rue. He has worked hard to make the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in California shine again. Pruning, plowing the vineyards, and mapping everything was a major undertaking. But it was all worth it, because this red Cabernet Sauvignon from Panamera is more than just a glass.
Wood aging for the Panamera Cabernet Sauvignon
The grapes grow in a warm climate with very hot summers. Therefore, Steve Rue planted the vineyard slightly higher so the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes can receive a little more cooling from the fresh breeze. This naturally slows the growth process, giving the Cabernet Sauvignon more time to mature. This allows them to absorb more impressions from the rich soil structure, making this red wine even fuller. At ideal ripeness, Steve Rue harvests the grapes entirely by hand in the morning, checking each bunch for imperfections. Only the finest bunches are transported to Panamera, where they are aged for up to eight months in partially new wooden barrels. This allows this Panamera Cabernet Sauvignon to develop its strength and, above all, its finesse.Full and very powerful, this Cabernet Sauvignon wine from Panamera
The aroma reveals abundant notes of vanilla and ripe red fruit. We also detected a hint of pepper. The taste of the Panamera Cabernet Sauvignon is stunning. Full, ripe, and powerful. These three words were the first to come to mind. Beautiful vanilla notes, interspersed with rich red fruit hues and a touch of spice. Combined with a lovely, long yet smooth finish. What a winner!Product details
