Charles Smith's award-winning wines

Charles Smith is an American winery founded by Charles Smith himself in 1999. During a road trip to Walla Walla, he met a winemaker who convinced him to start making wine himself. Charles Smith is best known for its premium wines from Washington State, which have frequently won awards both domestically and internationally. The winery produces a wide range of wines, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot. Charles Smith's wines are known for their bold and expressive character, with a focus on the Washington State terroir. Charles Smith has an innovative and unconventional approach to winemaking. He believes that winemaking is about passion, creativity, and respecting the grapes and the terroir in which they grow. The vines for the Chardonnay were carefully planted in 1998 by Jerry Milbrandt at the foot of the Blue Mountains. This area, thanks to its location near the Columbia River, boasts excellent terroir. The Chardonnay grapes are harvested entirely by hand at peak ripeness. The grapes are rigorously selected in the winery. They are then pressed, and the juice undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation. A conscious decision was made not to age the wine in wooden barrels, but instead in stainless steel tanks for at least four months. This process contributes to preserving the fresh and fruity aromas and the wine's complexity.

The fruity Charles Smith Eve Chardonnay Washington State

The result is a superb wine with a golden yellow color in the glass. The aroma reveals beautiful aromas of melon, apple, and the fresh scent of white flowers. On the palate, it has a creamy and delicate texture, perfectly balanced with pleasant acidity and fruity notes. The juicy fruity flavors are clearly evident and continue into a pleasant, long, fruity finish. All these flavors are perfectly integrated, creating an excellently balanced wine. In short, this wine is a great choice for anyone who enjoys a modern and elegant Chardonnay with a fantastic palate and a long finish.
