The old Chardonnay vineyard of Denis Marchais

This winery emerged from the renowned LaCheteau, an established name in France known for its exquisite wines with exceptional value. The modern winery, equipped with all the latest innovations, is located in the south of France, amidst the old vineyards that form the basis for this exceptional Premium Chardonnay. With this Premium Chardonnay, Denis Marchais has once again proven why they are among the best. The combination of tradition, modern technologies, and the finest grapes from old vineyards results in a wine that proudly bears the "premium" label. The vineyards are perfectly positioned to receive the sun, allowing the Chardonnay grapes to ripen evenly. A fresh breeze provides the necessary cooling, allowing the harvest to ripen for a long time. The strong soil structure provides the grapes with everything they need. Once the harvest is ripe, the Chardonnay bunches are harvested early in the morning. They are transported in small crates to Denis Marchais.

Wood aging for the Denis Marchais Premium Chardonnay

Here, the bunches are gently pressed, and the juice is aged for several months in the Denis Marchais cellars. The wine develops in the barrel, acquiring all the beautiful aromas and flavors of the oak. This is clearly noticeable when pouring this Premium Chardonnay, revealing a golden yellow color that beautifully clings to the glass. Rich aromas of tropical fruit, vanilla, and other spices predominate. A vigorous swirl of the glass reveals hints of peaches and roasted nuts. On the palate, this Denis Marchais Premium Chardonnay offers a lovely richness on the tongue with plenty of overripe yellow fruit. On the cheeks, there are hints of spice and vanilla, with ample oak.
