Vintage Report
De jaargang 2021 voor witte wijnen uit Rheinhessen krijgt een uitstekende beoordeling van 90-95 punten van Robert Parker. De wijnen zijn vroeg volwassen en nu al uitstekend toegankelijk.
In the Rheinhessen wine region, Bischel's old vineyards are filled with the white grape Weisser Burgunder, better known as Pinot Blanc from France. Brothers Matthias and Christian Runkel have put a lot of work into the vineyard, and this has been rewarded in recent years with excellent harvests. The white Weisser Burgunder is also one of Bischel's favorite wines and is listed among Germany's 100 best wines. This is something the brothers are proud of, and it allows them to further enhance their marketing. We've known for years that Bischel's wines are excellent, and we proudly carry the entire range.
Completely hand-harvested for this Bischel Weisser Burgunder
Wingut Bischel is located in the northern Rheinischen region, between Mainz and Bingen, in the town of Appenheim. The winery is considered one of the region's absolute rising stars. Weingut Bischel focuses on Riesling and Burgundy varieties. The Weisser Burgunder grapes originate from the Appenheimer Eselspfad and the Gau-Algesheimer St. Laurenzikapelle. The soil there is perfect, with abundant shell limestone and loose sand ensuring vigorous vines. The steep slope faces south, and all Weisser Burgunder grapes are harvested by hand. The grapes are transported to the press in small crates, after which the beautifully rich juice is partially aged in oak barrels. This gives this white wine more depth and richness. The smell and taste of the Bischel Weisser Burgunder
Thanks to all the effort and care, the result is stunning: this Bischel Weisser Burgunder has a refined and spicy character. A pleasant tropical aroma of pineapple tantalizes the senses, mingling with notes of caramel and honey. The palate is exquisite: a Weisser Burgunder, bursting with fruit flavors like pear and quince. A juicy finish with soft woody notes and vanilla. It pairs well with light meat dishes, especially veal.Product details
