We're traveling to the beautiful south of France. We're driving along the almost iconic Route de Soleil. And we're not the only ones. Every year, tens of thousands of tourists find their way to the southeast of France, towards Languedoc-Roussillon. This region is known for its exquisite food, countless day trips, and, of course, its sunny weather. But it's not just the tourists who enjoy the French sun. The wine industry also benefits greatly. It's no wonder Tour Saint Martin chose Languedoc-Roussillon as the location for its winery.

A Viognier wine from the South of France

Tour Saint Martin is located in Peyrac-Inervois, just north of Carcassonne. This location was chosen primarily for its unique microclimate. Despite Languedoc-Roussillon's record number of sunshine hours, the wind can cause temperatures here to be considerably colder than in other vineyards. The delicate Viognier grape, in particular, benefits from this. The cool Mediterranean breeze accelerates the growth of the Viognier grapes, resulting in exceptionally high-quality bunches.

Impressions of Tour Saint Martin Viognier

While the Viognier grape has made waves in the Côte du Rhône, it's also increasingly being discovered outside this region, including in the Languedoc Roussillon. The warm climate allows the Viognier to develop an even fuller flavor, which is clearly evident in this Tour Saint Martin Les Petites Cabanes Viognier. You'll smell and taste delicate yet elegant nuances, such as fresh apricots, fragrant blossom, and a hint of almond. The mild finish lingers on the tongue. Its plump character, combined with a slight hint of fat, makes this Tour Saint Martin Viognier a true must-have for your wine cellar.
