The Garres Rosé is undoubtedly one of the finest wines from the magnificent Château d'Esclans Rosé winery. This premium wine is made from a single vineyard of nearly 100-year-old Grenache vines and Rolle (Vermentino). The powerful and elegant Garrus, fully fermented and aged in large, new French oak barrels for 11 months, formed the core of Sacha Lichine's vision for rosé excellence in 2006. Today, Garrus is firmly established as an iconic, world-class luxury rosé.

The best vineyards for Garrus Rose

The idyllic winery is located in La Motte-en-Provence and has been owned by the Lichine family since 2006, who founded the Château d'Eclans winery there. Sacha Lichine, son of a wine celebrity and owner of Château d'Eclans, had only one mission: to produce the very best rosé wines. And he succeeded. It even earned him the title of European Winery of the Year, making him the first rosé winery to receive this title. The vineyards in the beautiful hills of Provence enjoy the best conditions. The 44 hectares of vineyards have vines planted at varying altitudes. This allows for a wide variety of flavors and allows the winemakers to explore the different characteristics. The vineyards are favorably situated in a southwesterly location on clay and chalky soils. The Garrus is made from 80-year-old vines. The grapes are first tasted before hand-harvesting to ensure top quality. This is followed by a cold maceration between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius in the winery, which maximizes fruit yield. Pure free-run juice is selected before pressing. Finally, a full 11-month Burgundian Batonnage in 600-liter oak barrels takes place.

The scent and taste of Chateau D'Esclans Garrus Rose

The result is a magnificent rosé that radiates in the glass. It has floral aromas of mango and nectarine with a hint of orange peel. Its palate is exceptionally elegant, with concentrated dark fruit, licorice, and ginger. A mineral finish perfectly rounds out the palate. A beautiful and unique piece of craftsmanship from the impressive Château d'Esclans winery.
